Lake Wallenpaupack (Wallinkpaupeek) named by the Lenni Lenape Indians of the Delaware Nation. "A stream of swift and slow water".

Lake Wallenpaupack was built in 1926 by the: Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. It is one of the largest man-made lakes in Pennsylvania with over 52 miles of showerline.
